Being a new mum...

So over the past few months I and my husband have been adapting to parenthood! And all I can say is we have never been as happy as we are since Aadi arrived.
We both feel like he has come into our lives, slotted right in and made our lives 300% more worthwhile.
He is such a happy baby and a dream to be a parent to and apparently that is to do with how good, calm and happy me & hubby are around him and during pregnancy.

Mamma's Boy
I love to wake up in a morning and hear him gurgling away, seeing him smile, laugh and respond to our voices. I'm in love, pure unconditional love.

I still can't believe he is here both me and hubby say we are waiting for that knock on the door and stood there is somebody ready to take him away saying it was all a dream and the dream is now over. But that just makes me appreciate everything even more

Living in Sweden made everything even more special and the help and benefits you get here have helped us to enjoy every minute. Hubby was allowed a whole month off to bond with his child and even then he was told this was a short time to be off work with a new born.
But as he has up to two years to take paternity off with Aadi I'm sure they will spend some quality time together when hubby is less busy at work and I have gone back to work.

Out in the Sun
Since Aadi arrived I feel more settled in Sweden and using connections and social media I seem to have gathered a few friends of my own out of hubby's circle and it feels great to be getting my independence back in this whole new country - it's beginning to make it HOME

We took Aadi back to the UK last month. I think he's the youngest in both families to fly and he was amazing! We checked our luggage in so we only had him and his nappy bag and carried him in his baby bjorn.

Modern Day Pappa
We travelled with Easyjet and despite there reputation they were really helpful. Better coming back I must admit but I think that was a northern UK thing more then anything (you know were the politest around) :)
We had heard to help his ears get him to drink during take off and landing which we did and he slept all the way. He was a bit cranky for a few days in the UK but this could of been so many things as he is teething, the flight, different water etc but he still managed to smile and my whole family fell in love with him.

It was amazing to be back and introduce him to all my family and incredibly hard to leave. But it was such good quality time he got to spend with everybody it showed me that this way he will have a better relationship in the long run as he will always get quality time with everyone not just a few hours every other weekend, which would happen if we lived in the UK.

Then once we were settled back in Sweden hubby's brother and mom came to stay with us for a week, to come and meet the new addition. It was great to see the bond between hubby and his brother develop and come back and for him to have his family around him because with them living in the USA we don't see them very often.

Hubby, Brother and Aadi
Now Aadi is four months I feel very settled as a mum and every day I feel more settled in Malmö. Social media has been a massive help in helping me make new connections here and using Meet Up sites has been great for us to get out as a family and meet other families and what is on other to do here...

As we head towards Summer in Malmö I have this feeling that it's going to be an AMAZING Summer and I can't wait to see what it brings and to take Aadi swimming in the sea
